The high quality of the Programme delivered, the friendly support to reflect deeply on ourselves and experience our world and its people, the richness and range of the Leaders who spoke to us and the many effective tools proffered for self-growth and leadership…The Programme asks us to reflect and step out of our preconceptions and self judgment in order to effectively lead diverse people to help solve the challenges of New Zealand. It is a great journey.

I was lucky to be part of the 2022 NZLP cohort for a year of learning and personal growth.  

What makes the NZLP stand out is its focus on the development of the whole person by encouraging participants to reflect on their values, beliefs, and personal goals. The programme also fosters a sense of community among participants, who come from diverse backgrounds and industries, creating a powerful network of support. The NZLP retreats are an integral part of the programme, providing participants with an opportunity to disconnect from their daily routine and focus on their personal and professional development in a supportive and immersive environment.  

The retreats, held in locations across New Zealand, offer participants the chance to reflect on their leadership journey, build connections with fellow participants, and gain new insights and perspectives from expert facilitators. Everybody has their favourite retreat, and mine was in the Coromandel for the environmental theme and excellent speakers.

LNZ changed my life. I was stuck in in a rut. I had worked worked in local government for over 10 years and held multiple roles within the community. LNZ provided the tools I needed to make a shift within myself and ultimately led to huge change in my career. I went from the comfort of a full time role to short term contact. The difference was in my own ability to understand my skills and trust those skills to provide longer term opportunities. The only time I will look back will be to celebrate how far I've come.
