7.30pm Wednesday 26th August, AUT University, Auckland
Rt. Hon. Helen Clark - The Promise and Challenge of 2015
This year we were honoured to have Helen Clark, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme join us. Helen shared with us her thoughts on the current global challenges and how the new development agenda is addressing them. The state of the world today presents us both opportunities and challenges and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will require strong leadership, across the globe, to ensure that they become a reality. Helen shared some of her vision for ensuring the SDGs to become a reality by 2030. The Lecture was held in the Sir Paul Reeves Building at AUT University on 26th August.
Below you can watch the video of the night, produced by webfilms. You can also:

The Reeves Lectures, which began in 2012, commemorate Sir Paul Reeves, an outstanding leader and visionary and are designed to provide commentary on New Zealand’s progress as a nation. They are a draw card for thinking New Zealanders wanting to engage in shaping a positive future. Leadership New Zealand organized the Lecture in partnership with Auckland University of Technology and Radio New Zealand.
The Sir Paul and Lady Reeves Scholarship Fund was also launched in 2012 in the loving memory of Sir Paul. This fund enables scholarships for those who would otherwise be unable to, take part in Leadership NZ’s leadership programmes.
We believe there should be no unreasonable economic barrier for an individual to participate, and so scholarships are an essential part of ensuring the diversity of participants in our programme.
Leadership NZ and our scholarship recipients would greatly appreciate your support. You can make an on-line donation here or contact us on 09 309 3749.
If it had not been for a scholarship, Olive Brown may not have been able to participate in the Leadership NZ leadership programme. You can read her story here »
