The first evolutionary wave of Tū Mau Mana Moana leaders graduated at Parliament on Friday night. This cohort, made up of extraordinary Pacific leaders from across the public service, were gifted the title of Grace by Programme Director, Dr Karlo Mila.
Over the last 18 months, they have together navigated the big seas of a global pandemic, travelled around the motu, and grown tupu to mokopuna visions. Their leadership gives us great hope for a bright future for Aotearoa; they are dedicated, wise, attuned, tupuna driven, and — yes — graceful. We loved celebrating them with the new Minister for Pacific Peoples, the Honourable Barbara Edmonds, Mana Moana alumni, the cohort's whānau, and many other valued and distinguished guests.
Huge mihi to the Langa Le Va team at MBIE for working in such transformational partnership with Leadership New Zealand, to participating agencies for supporting your people to be part of Tū Mau, to the families of participants, and to our amazing team. Many thanks to our photographer Mark Coote.
